It's a free, online and interactive service that keeps you in touch with the solutions that can help your business improve efficiency and effectiveness.
On the login page, click the link that says "Click here to register as a new user", and you will be taken to the registration screen. Fill in the boxes and most importantly your email address (your password will be sent to this address). Confirm your email address by typing it in a second time into the final box and then click the "submit" button.
When you have successfully registered for the first time, you will be taken back to the login page. Your Password will appear on the screen at the top so do not let others use your computer while you have this visible. Your Username and Password details will also be sent to your email address, so you can refer to this email when you need to access the site. The email will be from online_heldesk@bttalkingbusiness.co.uk.
First of all, check you have typed in your Username and Password correctly. If you have several email addresses make sure you are using the address you registered with. Username = Type your email address into this box (eg john.smith@bt.com) Password = This was sent to your email address when you first registered to use the site. Do not type in any quotation marks around the password or username.
If you have forgotten your password, on the login page click on the words "(can't remember your password?)" to the left of the boxes, or the bold part of "Click here to have your existing password sent to you". You will be taken to a page where you may request to have your password sent to your email address.
Type your email address into the box and click the "Send" button. Now check your inbox for a new email from online_heldesk@bttalkingbusiness.co.uk. with the subject "Password".
If you want to change your password, perhaps to one that is easier for you to remember, go to the login page and click on the bold part of the words "Click here to change your password". You will be taken to a page where you will have to login with your old password. Your new password must be at least 5 characters in length and a mixture of letters and numbers. For example "abc12" is a valid password but "abcde" is not.
After you have logged in, you will see at the top of the page "Please click here to update your details". Click on this to access the "update details" page, change what you need to change by typing in the boxes and click the grey "Update Details" button. You must type your details in the Address, Town, and Postcode boxes, or you will not be able to update your details. You can also change your password on this page.
To listen to a BT Web Seminar you will need to have a Windows Media player installed.
Download a free version of Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player is available for Apple Mac (OS 8.1 and greater) as well as Windows 95, 98, NT4, ME, 2000 and XP.
You may be unable to do this because of your setup, or because you are behind a firewall which deliberately disables streaming media. In this case you will need to contact your own IT department.
If you are asked for a username and password when trying to access a BT Web Seminar this means you are accessing the web via a proxy server and will need to talk to your IT department so they can enable you to view the web seminar.
You may still find, on some combinations of operating systems and Internet browsers, that you can not listen to the audio or see the video when the player is embedded in the web page. In that case, you can use a pop up player which can be accessed from each Web Seminar's technical help page.
